Before the ceremony, Jodi and her hubby, Wyatt, shared a sweet first look at Woldhuis Farms Sunrise Greenhouse!

“My absolute favorite moment of our day was our first look. I was so excited for him to FINALLY be able to see the dress I had picked and to be able to be with him for the rest of our day. It was such a special moment that i am so happy we chose to do. Our first look location our photographer chose was so perfect and fitting for us.”

How did Jodi and Wyatt meet?

“Wyatt and I met at a mutual friends house in 2012. We fell in love QUICK.”

How did Wyatt pop the question?

“Wyatt proposed to me on Halloween of 2015. He asked me to take a photo of him and our daughter, when I did, he dropped to 1 knee. Back then we decided the wedding planing process was a lot. We didn't want to wait. We ended up getting married at the courthouse April 1st, 2016.

Fast forward to December 2021. Wyatt and I had our friends over for a Christmas get together. During our gift exchange, Wyatt then dropped to 1 knee and said "do you still do?" Of course I said yes. Then we decided to renew or vows by having the big wedding we never got to have.”

So sweet! Was it a surprise??

“It was sort of a surprise, I knew he wanted to update my ring. We had talked about how actually having a wedding would be amazing. When he asked the question was a surprise.”

After that it was time to find her wedding gown!

“I was a little nervous to start dress shopping. The pressure to find THE dress. I booked my appointment with Sarah, who is my cousin, she made me feel so comfortable! I showed her dresses that I had saved off of Something Blue's Instagram page and she pulled dresses according to what I thought my style was. I think I tried on about 7 dresses, if that, before I found what I loved. My mom cried, my bridesmaids were so excited! I fell in love. This dress made me feel beautiful.”

What was Jodi’s favorite {and least favorite} part of planning?

“My favorite part of planning has to be seeing all of my choices, colors, and decor finally start to come together to make that vision in my mind. Everything ended up being so perfect and exactly how I imagined it to be.

My least favorite part of planning was the waiting. After all the vendors were booked, dress was purchased, style was decided, there was a good period of time where I couldn't really do much. That 9-6month out mark was a little at a stand still and the anticipation for our day was killing me.”

Does Jodi have any advice for brides-to-be who are currently planning their own big day?

“The best piece of advice I can give would be to take a few moments and just look around. Look at all of those people who came out to celebrate. While you're getting ready with your girls, while your waiting to walk down the aisle, while your sitting there for dinner, and while you party and guests are enjoying themselves at the reception. It all goes by in the blink of an eye. Before you know it the day will be over. Take those moments to soak it all in.”

Congratulations, Jodi + Wyatt!!
