Brittany and Anthony were married in a picturesque ceremony at Skógafoss Waterfall!
We have no words, this is truly one of the most magical weddings we’ve seen!

After making things official at the falls, Brittany, Anthony and their guests headed back to the house where a private chef was awaiting them!
This is SUCH a cool alternative to a traditional reception!

To say we are obsessed with this wedding is an understatement!
How did the newlyweds first meet?
“I love telling this story! It was junior year of college (2017) and Anthony just transferred to Illinois State University. Early fall semester I saw him at the gym, but I didn’t recognize him which is weird considering I knew essentially everyone there. I was too shy to introduce myself but made the mental note of the super cute new guy. About a month later, it was Saturday night and I’m hanging out with zero intention of visitors when my roommate came home with her boyfriend. And you will never believe who was with them.. Anthony! My low key gym crush literary appeared in my apartment. It turns out my roommate’s boyfriend was roommates with Anthony. As my roommate and her boyfriend went into her room to get ready for the party, it was just me and Anthony in my living room. I’m thinking it’s now or never so I’m about to fully shoot my shot in pajamas and raggedy hair. However, from our first conversation, it felt like I knew him my whole life and we immediately hit it off. We started dating the following semester, but I will never forget that night!”
How did Anthony pop the question?
“Over Labor Day weekend in 2023, we took a road trip to North Carolina where we planned to do a bunch of hiking and see the Smoky Mountains. We went to Grandfather Mountain super early and it felt like we had the whole park to ourselves. Anthony suggested we take a few pictures together on a giant rock. While we were taking pictures, he got down on one knee and proposed! Afterwards, we spent time on the rock and talking about our life together while watching the sunrise!”
Was it a surprise or did she know it was coming?
“Yes and no! I had a feeling it would be this trip, but I had no idea how, when, or any of the details.”
Next step: buying her dress!
How was Brittany’s dress shopping experience?
“Omg 10/10 chef kiss, amazing! Something Blue Bridal was the first and only placed I shopped. Everyone was so incredibly kind, supportive, and their mission was to help me find my dress. I brought some inspo pics and I was pretty set on an A-line, but I swear my Stylist, Jamie, took my vision and elevated it. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helped me articulate my thought process. She really understood the vibe of the wedding, what styles made me feel confident, and most importantly made it such a fun experience! We ended up trying on 11 dresses in total!”
How did she know her dress was "the one"?
“Wow, the first time I walked out wearing “the one”, everyone stood up from their seats and paused for a moment to really take her in! Looking back at pictures, it was so clear she was it, but I was stuck on the top 3 contenders. That’s why I really appreciated Jamie’s expertise, and she was super in tune of how I was feeling with each dress. She honestly picked up my emotions better than myself! After a good pow-wow session in the dressing room and retrying the dresses, the deal was sealed once I tried on the veil. Seeing myself with the dress and veil immediately made me think of marrying Anthony. That’s when I knew!”
What was Brittany’s favorite part of the planning process?
I loved planning my wedding because the whole thing was so “Brittany and Anthony” and authentic to us. My favorite part was seeing our family experience Iceland and fall in love with it the way we did a few years ago. We put so much thought and love into telling our story through this unique, intimate experience. Seeing everyone come together and really enjoy the trip means so much to us.
What about her least favorite part??
“Sometimes the pressure to abide by ‘tradition’ can be very overwhelming. Luckily, there is no right or wrong way to celebrate your love. Stay strong girlies!”
What was her favorite moment from the wedding?
“Marrying Anthony! Everything else was a bonus :’)”
What is the best piece of advice Brittany can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their own big day?
“Celebrate your love however you want! Don’t get caught up in what you see online or the latest trend. Every detail should reflect the couple and not obliged to make others happy.”
Congratulations, Brittany + Anthony!!
