How cute is SHE?!

Introducing our beautiful bride, Amanda!

For her late December wedding, Amanda looked incredible in a flowy, sparkling A-line gown by Stella York! She added a cathedral length veil by Essense Designs to complete the look!

When it came to Amanda’s florals, she enlisted the help of her family friends!

We love the little wintry touches!

Amanda married her husband, Jeremy, in a beautiful indoor ceremony at The Allure on the Lake in Chesterton!

After they made things official, Amanda, Jeremy and their guests made their way to the gorgeous reception room to celebrate the night away!

These two lovebirds first met after swiping right…

“We met on a dating app, Tinder, in November 2019 and after talking for a few days, our first date was at Tomato Bar in Valparaiso. We are both still in disbelief to this day that we met through Tinder.”

How did Jeremy pop the question??

“We got engaged September 30th, 2023 at County Line Orchard. I love to bake and one of the things during the fall I love to make is homemade Apple Strudel. The "recipe" has been passed down through a few generations.  I say recipe in quotes since it's only done by memory, there is no handwritten recipe, my sister and I are the  only two who know how to make it. So I usually go to County Line Orchard every year to get apples during the fall, knowing that, Jeremy wanted to tag along and make a fun trip out of it. I was kind of shocked, since he usually does not like to do this kind of thing. He's a homebody/gamer type. So we did all the cute fall things there! lol Corn mazes, walking through the sunflowers fields and apple picking. I need a lot of apples for the strudel. While picking apples, we were going up and down the rows trying to find the best ones, he ducked into another row. I was completely oblivious that he wasn't by me, so when I looked behind me and he wasn't there I asked where he went, he said "I'm in the next row, and be careful when picking these ones they have some "ALLY" on it!" As I was walking to the other row to find him, I was like huh? What is "ally"?  And as I was walking up to him, he had an apple in his hands with the ring on the stem of it, and got down on one knee and said "You FinALLY get your ring, will you marry me?!" Of course I said yes and yes I cried!”

Was it a surprise or did Amanda know it was coming?

“After almost 5 years together, I had a feeling it was coming. Also, with Jeremy not being a social person, I was surprised he planned a trip to County Line orchard on a weekend which made it a little obvious that the proposal was going to happen.”

The first thing on her list after getting the ring: dress shopping!

“After helping another bride find their dress, I knew I wanted to come to Something Blue. I knew I would find "the one" here! Colleen was fantastic, she was the one who actually picked out my dress. I knew this day was going to be an emotional one without my mom (she passed in 2020) but everyone at Something Blue made the day so special, from the moment you step inside, you feel like family!”

How did Amanda know her dress was "the one"?

“I tried on maybe 4 dresses I think and as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one. From the way it fit to the way it felt, it was just perfect. I did end up crying also when I put it on and saw the faces of best friends when I walked out of the dressing room with it on. We all knew it was "the one".”

When it came to planning, what was her favorite {and least fave} part of the process?

“I enjoyed the whole process! Since I've been dreaming of my wedding since I was little, seeing my vision come to life was probably the best part and that all my first choice vendors were available for my date!

My least favorite part was not being able to do it with my mom, it was hard going to all of the events that come with the planning process and seeing other brides with their moms. However, I had a great group of ladies around and supporting me throughout the whole process.”

Sending so much love!

What was her favorite moment from the wedding?

“Seeing my vision actually come to life, everything was perfect!”

What is the best piece of advice Amanda can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their big day?

“I heard this from a friend who works in the industry and it helped me a lot in the planning process. She told me "As long as there is good food, good alcohol and good music, everyone will have fun!" Another thing is get a binder to stay organized!”

Congratulations, Amanda and Jeremy!!
