Introducing our gorgeous bride, Alexandra!!
For her October wedding, Alexandra started out with a fitted Martina Liana gown from Something Blue. But nature had other plans and when Alexandra became pregnant with baby #3, she visited our off-the-rack store, The One by Something Blue and bought this beautiful A-line gown by Abella!

Alexandra worked with Kris from Sugarfield Flowers to create all of her insanely gorgeous bouquets and floral arrangements!
As usual, Kris knocked it out of the park!

Alexandra shared a special first look with her hubby, William, and his reaction was the sweetest!!
“My favorite moment of the wedding was doing a private first look with my husband and sharing our vows just between us. It was such an intimate moment and I’ll never forget his face when he turned around to look at me in my dress. his vows were a reminder to me how special and one of a kind our love is.”

Alexandra and William were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks, Michigan!
How dreamy is that aisle of pumpkins??

How did Alexandra and William first meet?
“William and I met through mutual friends in high school. Wasn’t until several meetings /hangouts later when Billy decided to shoot his shot!”
How did he pop the question?
“William proposed to me in Disney World in front of the castle!”
Was it a surprise or did Alex know it was coming?
“I had an idea he was going to propose on our vacation but was not sure exactly when.”
After that, it was time to say “YES!” to the dress!
“My dress experience was an emotional roller coaster. I found my dress at Something Blue Bridal the first time I went and tried on dresses. I was head over heels OBSESSED with it. A few months later I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd baby and would be 5-6 months pregnant at my wedding. The dress was not going to work because it was a tight fitting mermaid style. I ended up going to The One by SBB and finding my backup dress that ended up accommodating my bump and being just as stunning as the dress I picked at S0mething Blue. My beautiful Martina Liana is still at the store in the bag!”
How did Alexandra know her dress was "the one"?
“I knew it was the one because it was flowy so it could accommodate my growing belly & also had sleeves on it like my original dress I picked out had! It had the fall vibes I was looking for as well!”
When to came to planning, what was Alex’s favorite {& least favorite} part of the process?
“Picking out flowers and trying cake was easily my favorite part of the planning process. Seeing my vision come to life was so much fun. My vendors made the planning process smooth and easy.
My least favorite part was the amount of small little details everyone needed. You would think you’re done with everything then here comes and list of to do stuff still lol!”
What is the best piece of advice she can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their big day?
“Don’t sweat the small things and go with the flow the day of. Your wedding is about you and your fiance so try to be present with one another and do not worry about everyone else. It goes by SO fast.”
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary, Alexandra and William!!
