We’re so happy to introduce you to another one of our stunning brides from our sister store, The One by Something Blue Bridal!

For her summer wedding, Autumn wore a fitted, crepe gown from our Private Collection, Emilia Leray!

Alright, let’s get to know these lovebirds a little better!

How did Autumn meet Joseph??

“We met through his work!”

How did Joe pop the question?

“Under the guise of photos for our Christmas cards, it was cold but perfect under a cute little gazebo!”

So we’re guessing she had no idea it was coming?

“It was a surprise!! He did very well at keeping my suspicions low!”

After the shock of the proposal wore off, Autumn made her appointment at our sister store, The One by Something Blue Bridal!

“It was perfect. I brought my mom, sisters, and Joey’s mom. It was intimate. Jamie made it so much less intimidating. She calmed my anxiety from the get go, listened to my insecurities, reassured me, and ultimately was the one that pulled the dress I chose. She was kind and amazing. Dress shopping can be scary for many woman (myself included) because we can be so critical of ourselves, but Jamie seriously made it amazing and a memory I look back on fondly.”

How did she know her dress was "the one"?

“I was between two dresses and they were not very similar. When I put my dress on, it felt very me. The reactions of my sisters and the moms really sealed my decision. Once the veil went on, tears started to flow, and we had our winner.”

What was Autumn’s favorite part of the wedding planning process?

“Getting to better know what was important to my partner. We had conversations about guest lists and what we wanted the day to look like and feel like that led us to deeper conversations about our marriage and life.”

What about her least favorite part??

“The STRESS!! My goodness I knew it would be stressful, but nothing could have prepared me for all of the worry and anxiety about what might happen. You learn pretty quickly that you can’t make everyone happy and they will all have opinions, but if you and your partner can move past that and say “what do we want” or “what is important to us” while not worrying about anyone else—that will lessen the stress significantly.”

Does Autumn have any extra special memories from her wedding day?

“Any moment when it was just the two of us. Joey and I talked about this the day after asking each other about the day, and we both were listing moments when it was just us two. The drive to the reception. Our private vows. Our private last dance. When we were walking from the car to the reception so many cars were honking and people yelling congratulations, that was super fun and special.”

What is the best piece of advice she can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their own big day?

“Try to stay glued to each other on the day of, you’ll have so many moments to remember together that way. Learn to stop worrying about what anyone besides you and your partner want. Schedule time in your day for just the two of you, we did not do this, but luckily our photographer did by scheduling photos for the two of us during our reception. Those 15 minutes taking pictures just us are some of the most beautiful memories for us. Things will go wrong, try to understand that early on, and let it go.”

Congratulations, Autumn + Joseph!!
