How did Sarah & Michael meet?

“We met in middle school, and started dating in 8th grade!”

How did Michael proposed to Sarah?

“He proposed to me in Anna Maria Island Florida, on the beach where we had been going on vacation yearly. We were supposed to be going out to dinner, but he said that he wanted to go walk out to the beach and see the sunset before we left. After walking out, I could see the arch setup and realized what was happening.”

Was Sarah surprised or did she see it coming?

“I did not know that it was coming! You'd think after being together for 9 years at that point I would, but I truly did not.”

How was Sarah’s dress shopping experience?

“My dress buying experience was very fun and stress-free. The staff at Something Blue made me feel so comfortable and made the experience really enjoyable. I loved the range of options at Something Blue, it helped that I felt like I had tried out all the possibilities before making my final decision.”

How did Sarah know her dress was "the one"?

“I actually had saved a TikTok video that had come across my feed a year prior to dress shopping because I thought the dress was so pretty. I searched through the comments on the video until I found the creator tell someone what the name of the dress was. I called Something Blue and asked if they had that dress, and they did! I tried on many dresses at two different shops, but at the end of the day the dress that I had saved ended up being "the one". The dress just felt like it was made for me and I really couldn't see myself in any other dress.”

What was Sarah’s favorite part of the planning process?

“I really enjoyed picking out the color scheme and bridesmaid dresses. It was fun looking through all of the different options and putting different things together to see what I liked best.”

What was Sarah’s least favorite part?

“My least favorite part was probably waiting on things I couldn't control, like responses from vendors or getting RSVPs back. 😂”

What was your favorite moment of your wedding?

“My favorite moment was the private dance I had with my husband at the end of the night. After a busy day and being surrounded by so many people, it was such a special moment and rush of emotions to finally be alone and fully process that we had just gotten married.”

What is the best piece of advice you can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their big day?

“My best advice would be to try your hardest to not sweat the small things and to remember the real purpose for the day. It's easy to get wrapped up in how everyone else will perceive your choices for the day and the way things will look on social media. I always felt better when I reminded myself that the purpose of the day is to celebrate our love with our family and friends, and all the extra stuff doesn't really matter that much in the grand scheme of things.”
