We are so happy to introduce you to our beautiful bride, Rachel!
For her fall wedding, Rachel was absolutely stunning in a flowing A-line gown from our Emilia Leray Private Collection!
We don’t know what we love more - the sparkling lace or the scalloped train!

Rachel’s flowers were SO beautiful, all thanks to Kristina Lynn Floral out of Schererville, IN!

Instead of a first look, Rachel and her soon-to-be hubby, Ethan, shared a first touch before the ceremony!

Rachel and Ethan were married in an outdoor ceremony at Whispering Oaks in DeMotte, Indiana!
We love that they included their sweet dogs in the ceremony!

After the ceremony, it was time to let loose!
The reception was quite the party, with fun drinks and activities like cornhole for the guests!

How did the newlyweds first meet?
“We met in high school English class! He came to my school
freshman year but we didn’t really talk until sophomore year. He
knew my brother first cause they were on the same track team, so
that was something we knew we had in common to start a
conversation.”
How did Ethan pop the question?
“I was proposed to on a boat at sunset while on our annual
fishing trip in Minnesota.”
Was it a surprise or did Rachel know it was coming?
“It was a complete surprise! He told me he would never
propose near water with the worry of dropping the ring in the
water. Everyone on the boat knew except me and they staged it
so that I thought we were just taking a sunset picture (which I love
doing) and then during the pictures, he proposed.”
So sweet! After that, it was time for Rachel to start her dress shopping journey!
“I will be honest, I don't really like dress shopping, or
shopping in general. However, I ended up thinking it was fun
trying on all the dresses and acting like a model down the runway
each time I came out in a new dress. It was so fun laughing and
having a good time with my family that came with me.”
How did she know her dress was "the one"?
“I was sort of picky with what dresses to choose because I
didn't really know what fit I wanted/looked best on me and all I
knew was that I wanted lace, little poof, and an open back. I knew
my dress was the one when I couldn’t find anything wrong with it!
I loved everything about it! I also couldn't stop looking at myself in
the dress! I felt so pretty.”
What was Rachel’s favorite {and least favorite} part of wedding planning?
“My favorite part of the planning process was getting to put all
the little details that my husband and I came up with together to
make our wedding special! It was fun changing things how we
wanted too in order to make the day perfect. My husband also
liked the food tasting of course and I also liked picking out the
flowers! My florist was absolutely perfect and every different idea I
threw at her, she made come to life.
My least favorite part of the day was it ending. I wish the day
could have lasted multiple days! We wish time could have slowed
down because, like everyone says, your wedding day does really
go by so fast. We hated that after 2 years of planning, the day
ended so fast.”
Looking back, what was Rachel’s favorite moment from the wedding?
“My favorite part of the day was finally getting to see Ethan,
after a whole day of waiting, and seeing his reaction to me in my
dress. A close second favorite was getting introduced together for
the first time as we walked into our reception to see all our loved
ones!”
What is the best piece of advice she can give brides-to-be who
are currently planning their own big day?
“My advice for brides-to-be during that planning process is
that you cannot have too many pictures or videos, so go the extra
mile in finding a great photographer/videographer that can
capture your special day.
My advice for brides and grooms is to take a few minutes during
your wedding for you and your husband to breathe, and look at all
your guests smiling and having a good time. Because it will be
one of the only times in your life that all the people you love will
be in the same room together. All the planning, and stress will be
completely worth it. It was such a special, memorable moment
that I will cherish forever.”
Congratulations, Rachel and Ethan!!
