She is just so gorgeous!

Introducing our beautiful bride, Mackenzie!

For her May wedding, Mackenzie looked absolutely radiant in a sparkling ballgown by Essense of Australia!

Mackenzie married her hubby, Noah, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Jasper County Fairgrounds!

They went the nontraditional route when it came to their flower girl, as you’ll see in the gallery below!

The reception was held inside at the fairgrounds!

They did such a great job transforming the space into a beautiful celebration!

How Mackenzie and Noah first meet?

“Noah and I have a 21st century love story because everything started with a Snapchat all the way back in 2018. We talked for a few weeks, and had our first date at the Lake County Fair. The rest is history.”

How did Noah pop the question?

“Noah and I went on a weeklong trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee in June of 2021. We spent the week sightseeing, shopping, and having a great time. On our very last day in Gatlinburg, Noah brought me to a river that is downtown. We had found this cute little spot a few years before on our first vacation together. I am looking over the river, and he starts talking to me. I turn around and he told me how much he loves and then got down on one knee. I of course say yes! With tears streaming down my face, he directs my attention to a bush up at the top of the river bank. Standing at the top is my best friend (our maid of honor!) dressed in a disguise! She drove 500+ miles to take secret engagement photos for us. We spent the rest of the day with our friends enjoying the beautiful weather and had the absolute best day.”

Was it a surprise or did Mackenzie know it was coming?

“It was a complete surprise! Noah and my best friend worked for months to plan the whole thing.”

After she said “yes!” to Noah, it was time for Mackenzie to say “yes!” to the dress!

“I went to several different dress shops, but my experience at Something Blue Bridal was one of a kind. My consultant, Colleen, made me feel absolutely beautiful. She was so kind, helpful, and absolutely wonderful. She was actually the one who picked out my dress!”

How did she know her dress was "the one"?

“The first day I went dress shopping at SBB I actually left empty handed. I had a favorite dress that I was sure I was going to comeback and purchase later. In reality, I kept thinking about an entirely different dress that I had tried on! I thought about it for a few days before calling back to come try it on again. I put it back on and immediately knew it was my dress. I am still absolutely obsessed with my wedding dress and I wish I could wear it everyday!”

What was Mackenzie’s favorite {and not-so-favorite} part of the wedding planning process??

“I had several favorite parts of wedding planning! I absolutely LOVED wedding dress shopping. I also loved picking out all of the details like the colors, the decor, and the little personalized details. I also had a friend create our wedding invitations and I was able to assist her in creating them! That was a highlight as well.

My least favorite part of wedding planning was the stress that comes with just making sure everything and everyone came together to be exactly what we wanted!”

Looking back, what’s her favorite wedding day moment?

“I’m not sure I could ever pick a favorite moment from our wedding day, because every moment was my favorite. I absolutely loved everything about our wedding day. We were so thankful to have all of our friends and family in one place to just celebrate us and our love for each other.”

Does Mackenzie have any advice for brides-to-be who are currently planning their own big day?

“Enjoy every stage that comes with wedding planning. It can feel overwhelming at the moment, but make sure to take a breath, and step back. Always focus on you and your partner and what the two of you in-vision for your special day. Cherish every moment of your big day because it is over in a flash!”

Congratulations, Mackenzie and Noah!!
