Introducing our gorgeous bride, Lexie!!

For her October wedding, Lexie looked so amazing in an A-line gown by Stella York! We’re loving the leafy lace details and subtle sparkle throughout!

She chose a veil by Bel Aire Bridal and earrings from Olive + Piper to complete her look!

Lexie created all of her own bouquets using silk flowers from Hobby Lobby!

She did a phenomenal job!!

Before the ceremony, Lexie had a few very important first looks to attend to!

First were her beautiful bridesmaids, then her sweet dad, and finally her soon-to-be hubby!

Lexie and Shaun were married in a beautiful ceremony at Bell Mare Weddings & Events in Galien, Michigan!

The ceremony was Lexie’s favorite part of the whole day!

I loved our ceremony it was so unique to us. To see all of the people who love and support us in one room witnessing the love Shaun and I have for each other was so special. My dad also married us so it was just extra sweet.”

The reception was also held at Bell Mare and was so beautiful!

We’re loving the signature drink menu at the bar and the sparkler send off!

How did Lexie meet Shaun?

“We met online! I actually messaged Shaun a year prior but he never responded and then boom out of nowhere he responded! We started texting and then eventually met up for our first date!”

How did Shaun pop the question?

“He proposed to me on Christmas Eve in front of my entire family! I had NO idea it was coming he had me thinking it was going to happen on New Year’s Eve or my birthday! Totally shocked!”

Moving on to our fave topic - dress shopping!

“Something Blue was on my list from day one. But I was worried about sizing so my first stop was a store that specialized in plus size styles. Unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience for me. However, when I went to Something Blue it was a completely different experience. Shannon was amazing listening and finding things that I was looking for. I told her my insecurities and what I wanted to accentuate and she found the absolute perfect dress for me! I beamed when I put it on and so did my Mom! I just knew it was the one because I felt so beautiful.”

What was Lexie’s favorite part of planning her wedding?

“Planning the fall color scheme was so fun, I also made all of my bouquets and boutonnières so that was really fun finding flowers for that. Oh creating my invitations also!”

What about her least favorite part??

“Having to keep track of bridal party timelines for ordering suits/dresses and the worries of items not coming in on time. Also trying to match the groomsmen with the bridesmaids. I initially had one vision and it just didn’t work so I had to pivot to something different.”

Does Lexie have any words of wisdom for brides who are currently in the planning stages?

“Seriously don’t sweat the small tiny details! On your wedding day it truly won’t matter. I had a breakdown the night before about the tablecloth's being wrinkled and I couldn’t even tell you I looked at the tablecloth one time during my whole reception. Also remain true to who you are. Everyone will always have an opinion and you can’t please everyone. But remember it’s YOUR and your partners day. You say what goes and what doesn’t!”

Congratulations, Lexie and Shaun!!
