Isn’t she lovely??

Introducing our beautiful bride, Jessica!

For her early September wedding, Jessica wore a custom gown by Allure Couture and a sparkling veil by Bel Aire Bridal!

After getting ready with her girls, it was time for a special first look with her first love, Dad.

Jessica’s bouquet was absolutely stunning, thanks to Candice Molek’s handiwork!

Jessica & her hubby, Jason, were married in the gorgeous ceremony room at the Allure on the Lake in Chesterton!

After they officially became Mr. and Mrs., it was time to celebrate!!

The Allure on the Lake is one of the most beautiful venues in the entire area - take a look for yourself!

How did Jessica and Jason first meet? 

“We met at work! We are both nurses, and he transferred to the floor I was working on at the time as a CNA! We were, and still are, best friends first! When I graduated nursing school, he actually trained me as a new nurse which was so fun!! We now work on separate units, but we still go to work together, which is the best!” 

How did Jason pop the question?

“Jason proposed at the RH rooftop restaurant in Oak Brook! He planned the whole day by having my closest girlfriends take me shopping at the mall, and then we went to dinner at the restaurant! When we got there, the girls had me set my things down, and they took me to the outside rooftop area where Jason was there with my best friend with flowers and the beautiful ring😍 he had a super sweet speech, and was so excited he started to put the ring on, and almost forgot to get down on one knee because he was so nervous! Lol Then after dinner, he had our friends decorate his condo for a surprise engagement party, and they catered raising canes for us because it’s our fav! It was the most sentimental and special day we’ll never forget!” 

Was it a surprise or did Jessica know it was coming?

“I knew it was coming soon because he had the ring and was anxiously waiting to propose, but I didn’t know the exact! He was so cute, he would have me close my eyes and put the ring on to see if it would fit and how it looked before he proposed. I had a hunch it would be the day he did it because he made a comment to me about all of our friends being able to celebrate, and I did some digging and knew the only options were one other day besides our proposal day!”

Moving on to our fave topic: dress shopping!

“The experience was SO fun and chill!! I had Jamie as my SBB girl, and she made the experience absolutely perfect! She made me feel so comfortable and knew what vibes I was feeling or not feeling! She was super patient with me being so indecisive and wanting to try on a million dresses! I loved being able to walk around the boutique and pick out dresses to try on, and it felt super personalized with the appointment being one on one. Jamie was super great with including my girls in the experience too, and she was top tier in making sure I stuck to my budget! I felt so special the day I found my dress!”

How did Jessica know her dress was "the one"?

“I knew my dress was the one, but only at the end of my appointment! I knew I wanted strapless, but my dress originally had thick lace straps. I tried it on just for fun, and fell in love with the train, silhouette, the mix of simple and sparkle, but I couldn’t get over those straps! Lol I tried on probably 10 more dresses, also stunning and I loved them, but Jamie noticed I was comparing all of them to my dress (yes she knew, and they are so right about them knowing what we want even when we don’t). I tried my dress back on and Jamie said “we can custom order this to be strapless” and I was sold! I started tearing up because I pictured our beautiful day and how genuinely beautiful I felt in my dress!!” 

What was her favorite part of the planning process?

“I think my favorite part of the process was picking our venue together, and planning around what vibe and aesthetic we wanted to create! We fell in love with our venue immediately, and we were so blessed to get the date we wanted! It was so fun to create something so personal and unique to us! I was obsessed with anything bridal and wedding for so long, and it was fun to just be present in any of planning we did! We were engaged for about a year and a half, and it was nice to just enjoy our time engaged and be fully present and excited with the planning!”

What about her LEAST favorite part?

“Honestly making sure everything was how we wanted was stressful. No matter how many checklists, people helping, planning, etc., you always second guess yourself and wonder if everything is done how you want. Shocker—it is! Lol!” 

What is her favorite wedding day memory?

“While I absolutely loved every second of our wedding, I think my favorite part was just being able to soak it all in with my husband after the ceremony! We were taking pictures outside after the ceremony; it was gorgeous, and so nice to just recap on the day so far and realize the fact that you finally just did it!! It is so surreal to finally be husband and wife, and a feeling I will cherish forever. It was also nice because we didn’t see each other until the ceremony, so we were just happy to be together again! We said personal vows during our ceremony, and I felt like it was just the two of us in the room. I was so thankful we had our most favorite people all in one place to celebrate with!”  

What is the best piece of advice Jessica can give brides-to-be who are planning their big day?

“It’s ok to be anxious about everything going the way you want and planned! Everyone always says “there will always be something that goes wrong, just go with it” and honestly, yes something might go wrong but you are so busy and probably won’t even notice till after! Enjoy the day with your girls, family, friends and most importantly, HUSBAND!! It goes by so fast, so soak it all in and just enjoy!! It will truly be the most magical day ever!!”
