She is just the cutest!

Introducing our beautiful bride, Hannah!

For her June wedding, Hannah wore a fitted, strapless crepe gown from Essense of Australia! She accessorized it with off-the-shoulder straps from Allure Bridals and a veil from Bel Aire Bridal!

When it came to flowers, Hannah decided to take matters into her own hands!

She diy’d the bouquets and boutonnieres and did such a beautiful job!

Hannah married her husband, Daniel, in a beautiful ceremony inside Aberdeen Manor’s chapel!

After the newlyweds said “I do”, everyone walked over to the ballroom to celebrate the happy couple!

Hannah changed into a traditional Chinese gown to celebrate her culture for the reception and we are obsessed!

How did Hannah and Daniel first meet?

“It was the fall semester of my sophomore year in college, back in 2019, during Physics class. One day Dan chose to sit next to me and my friends — and soon after, he volunteered to be the subject for one of many photography assignments I had. We became friends quickly after that. Then when I went through a breakup, Dan was there for me with quiet support and kindness that meant more than he knew. After finals that semester, he asked me out to breakfast — and from that moment on, everything changed. The rest, as they say, is history.”

How did Dan pop the question?

“It was just four days before Valentine’s Day in 2024 when Dan suggested we take the train from Indy to Chicago for a day trip. I agreed — after all, he’s a civil engineer, and anything involving transportation fascinates him. While we were exploring the city, I mentioned that I had never been to the Willis Tower. Dan admitted he hadn’t either, so on a whim, we decided to check it out. When we reached the skydeck and stepped onto the glass floor, Dan got down on one knee and proposed.”

Was it a surprise or did she know it was coming?

“I had a feeling he might propose, but I didn’t want to get my hopes up. I had always told him I wanted a private proposal, so the public setting caught me off guard — but in that moment, with the city beneath our feet and his eyes locked on mine, it felt like we were the only two people in the world.”

After that, it was time for Hannah to find her wedding gown!

“The stylist I had was absolutely wonderful! Earlier that day, my dad, my female cousin, and I had visited a different bridal shop where I found a dress that was close to what I wanted — but it just didn’t feel like the dress. We’d heard from a few people we know that Something Blue Bridal was worth checking out, so we decided to stop by.
I showed my stylist a photo of the dress I had liked at the previous store, and she smiled and said, “I can top that!” And she truly did. After trying on a few gowns, the first dress I tried on turned out to be the dress. She even helped me find the perfect matching veil!
What I appreciated most was that I never felt pressured to make a decision on the spot or rushed by time. The whole experience felt relaxed, supportive, and genuinely special.”

What was Hannah’s favorite {and least favorite} part of the planning process?

“One of my favorite parts of wedding planning was choosing the color palette and selecting the flowers I wanted for the big day.

My least favorite part was DIY-ing the bouquets and boutonnieres, since I had never done anything like that before. I relied heavily on Google images for inspiration and as a reference for how I wanted everything to look. It took a lot of trial and error to get them just right.”

Does Hannah have any special memories from her big day?

“My favorite moment of the wedding was seeing and being with Dan and capturing those special moments together in photos.”

What is the best piece of advice Hannah can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their own wedding?

“It’s your day and your partner’s day—don’t let anyone else change your vision for the wedding. You don’t have to follow every “traditional” expectation or replicate every detail you see on social media. Focus your time and money on the things that truly matter to you. Don’t stress over every little details or how things will look—what you’ve planned so far is more than enough. Guests are likely to remember the food and entertainment far more than those ceremony programs you made. Most importantly, soak in every moment and enjoy your big day—it will pass by faster than you expect.”

Congratulations, Hannah and Daniel!!
