Introducing our gorgeous bride, Abby!

For her summer lakeside wedding, Abby wore a stunning floral A-line gown by Martina Liana!

The lace on this gown is SO beautiful and so are her veil by Bel Aire Bridal and jewelry by Ti Adoro!

Abby and her husband, Todd, shared a first look on the dock before the ceremony began.

They are the cutest!

Abby and Todd were married in a gorgeous ceremony on Gun Lake at Bay Pointe Inn in Shelbyville, MI!

“My favorite moment was pausing at the beginning of the aisle with my dad looking at Todd surrounded by all of our family and friends. I never use this word, but it really felt magical. The lake was glistening in the background and the aisle was lined with beautiful flowers.”

After the newlyweds were hitched, it was time to celebrate!

As you can imagine, the reception was just as stunning as the ceremony!

How did Abby and Todd first meet?

“We worked together for over ten years. We were both teachers and swimming coaches.”

How did Todd pop the question?

“We were up in Michigan at our family cottage for Labor Day weekend. It was a normal lake day. After going on the boat all day, Todd asked if I wanted to go on a walk. I always go on walks or runs to Bay Pointe Inn (our wedding venue). After over a mile, we made our way to Bay Pointe Inn, and there was a wedding happening at the pavilion. We took a moment to look at the lake. That is when he turned to me and proposed! We walked back to our cottage and my family was there waiting to celebrate. It was perfect!”

Was it a surprise or did Abby know it was coming?

“The timing was a surprise. We had only recently started talking about wanting to get married. I was shocked to find out he had already bought a ring and was not expecting a proposal so soon.”

How was Abby’s dress shopping experience??

“It was simple. I went to one store, Something Blue, and the very first dress I tried on was "the one". I tried on other styles just to be sure, but nothing compared.”

How did she know her dress was "the one"?

“I loved the embroidery. It reminded me of all the flowers at our wedding venue.”

What was Abby’s favorite part of planning her big day?

“It was fun to be creative and make all the details special to Todd and I.”

What about her least favorite part?

“Being bombarded and overwhelmed with social media was the worst part. There are so many ideas and options out there. It makes it easy to over-plan and overthink every little detail instead of focusing on what is important to you.”

What is the best piece of advice she can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their big day?

“Research and find great vendors. I read tons of reviews and followed everyone on social media. All of my vendors were incredible. I was able to rely on their professionalism, experience, and expertise, which made the planning and the wedding day smooth and stress-free. My family and I were all able to be present and enjoy the day.”

Congratulations, Abby + Todd! Your wedding was SO beautiful!
