How did the newlyweds meet?
“We had a modern fairytale! We met online through Hinge and we were both done with online dating at that point. Our profiles just had silly photos and random phrases because we were trying to get something new with online dating. We had a 10 hour date at Set ‘Em Up where we only talked! Within 3 weeks we had over 10 dates and they were all over 5 hours long. 3 weeks into knowing each other we went on a road trip to the rock n roll hall of fame! On the first night he asked “will you go steady with me” and it’s been nothing but long dates since!”
How did Brandon propose to Megan?
“I gave Brandon a timeline that he didn’t know about. I kept saying to myself if he didn’t ask me to marry him by our 3rd year together that I would leave because he would be “wasting my fertility years 😂😂😂” he decided to take his family boat out to Lake Michigan in August of 2025! It was storming and we got caught in the storm so we pulled the boat over. After the storm disappeared he proposed on the boat where I was cuddled with all the towels to stay warm! It was not a romantic proposal but it really defines us! He didn’t use my full name, no speech. It was straight to the point “so…will you marry me?” He went on his knee, did ask my dad for his blessing (not permission) to which my response was pretty equal to his! I snatched the ring without looking at it and said “it’s about damn time” lol 3 hours later on our way he he pointed out I didn’t say yes lol so I said yes after i made all the phone calls to the family!”
Did Megan know it was coming? Or was she surprised?
“I knew it was coming but had no idea when! We talked about our life goals and what we wanted and I did give him a timeline so I was just waiting for it to happen! Note: 3 months into us dating he brought me as a plus one to his sisters wedding and after the reception he did tell me he would marry me! I told him to slow down since we were only together 3 months at that time!”
Then it was time for Megan to “Say Yes” to the dress!
“The dress I picked out was one of the first I tried on! I had all my moms pick out a dress they wanted to see me try on and I tried on over 12 dresses! I kept comparing all the dresses to it and I asked Izzy “so…that’s a sign if I’m comparing all dresses to this one right?” Sure enough it was the dress!”
What was Megan’s favorite part of wedding planning?
“My favorite part of the planning process was honestly the bridal gifts!!! I knew I wanted to get them their outfits! I had a smaller bridal party of 3 bridesmaids, 1 bridesman and 1 flower man! The bridesman suit color matched the girls dresses and I loved taking them all out to try things on and to see everyone look so lovely!!!”
What was Megan’s favorite memory of their wedding night?
“Marrying the man I manifested since I was a child was the best! The other moment that tops that was my father daughter dance! We danced to First Man by Camila Cabello! My dad is now a fan of hers and cried when he first heard that song! During our dance we laughed and joked and I sang the song to him! I recommend giving that song a listen if you haven’t heard it! She wrote it specifically for her dad and when she released it I was aggressively single and thought “this is the song I dance with my dad to at my future wedding” and I made it happen!”
What is the best piece of advice you can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their big day?
“The best piece of advice is book everything early and set up payment plans! I’m glad we book our venue first and had everything booked a year in advance! This allowed more time to focus on the smaller things without being overwhelmed!”
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs.Pruim!
