Introducing our very own Disney Princess: Cody!

For her spring wedding, Cody chose a gorgeous gown from Allure’s Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings Collection! The strapless ballgown was inspired by Princess Aurora and features a beaded, illusion bodice and a full sparkle tulle skirt!

Quite fitting, considering Cody also had a magical Disney wedding!

The bride’s bouquet was provided by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and was so beautiful!

They did a stunning job!

Before heading down the aisle, Cody shared a special first look with her Prince Charming, Eric!

Cody and Eric were married in a ballroom at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa!

The couple enjoyed a sweet ceremony with a fun Disney surprise!

After they said “I do”, Cody, Eric and their guests enjoyed a beautiful after party, filled with the yummiest Disney desserts and a magical fireworks display!

“My favorite moment from our wedding was the fireworks dessert party. It was such a memorable event with our loved ones. We got to see all of our ideas and planning come to reality. Ending the night with fireworks over the castle was the perfect send-off to a magical day!”

How did the newlyweds first meet?

“Eric and I met at work. We had known each other for a few years as coworkers and soon enough he asked me to a baseball game. The rest as they say, is history.”

How did Eric pop the question?

“Eric proposed to me at my absolute favorite place on earth. In front of Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom! It was such a memorable day. He even asked my best friend Tara to be there to surprise me too.”

Was it a surprise or did Cody know it was coming?

“I had an idea it was coming, dropping not so subtle hints that I had always dreamed of a Disney proposal!”

Moving on to our fave topic: dress shopping!

“My dress buying experience at Something Blue Bridal was everything I hoped it would be, and more. I had my eye on the Allure Disney bridal gowns. I knew Something Blue carried this line of gowns and I had heard nothing but wonderful things about this shop. Sarah helped me find my dream dress and as fate would have it, she is also a huge Disney fan. We clicked instantly and she was a joy to work with.”

How did she know her dress was "the one"?

“I knew my dress was “the one” because I stepped out of the dressing room and my mom cried. She said “That’s the one” and I absolutely felt the same.”

What was Cody’s favorite {and least favorite} part of planning her big day??

“My favorite part of the planning process was working with Disney and talking through all the details. They added magical touches along the way and made the entire experience wonderful.

My least favorite part of the planning process was the waiting! Waiting to book the venue, waiting to plan, and of course waiting for the day to finally arrive!”

Are there any tips or tricks Cody has for current brides-to-be?

“The best advice I could give to any bride-to-be is to enjoy the process. Planning a wedding comes with a lot of excitement and a lot of stress. Enjoy it all and know that once the day finally arrives, it’ll be everything you dreamed it could be!”

Congratulations, Cody + Eric!!
