Get it girl!!
We are so obsessed with our bride Piper and her gorgeous gown!!
For her spring wedding, Piper looked phenomenal in a fitted, strapless crepe gown by Essense of Australia!
Our favorite feature is definitely the thigh high slit in the skirt!

Piper and her hubby, Adam, decided to share a special first look together before the ceremony…

Piper and Adam were married in a lovely outdoor ceremony in the garden at Aberdeen Manor in Valparaiso!

The reception was held inside Aberdeen’s ballroom and was so beautiful!
Let’s take a second to appreciate how gorgeous that cake is!
Even better, it was made by the mother of the bride!

How did the happy couple first meet?
“Adam and I met at the Lake of the Ozark Missouri, at Shady Gators Bar. He was there celebrating his good friends Bachelor Party, and I was there for my best friends 21st birthday. He saw me right away, but I made the first move and teased him for not being on the dance floor with some of his friends. I went to the bar, and when I came back he was out dancing, so I joined him and we danced the rest of the night. We exchanged numbers and eventually started a long distance romance until I moved to Indiana to be with him 8 months later.”
How did he pop the question?
“Adam proposed to me at the pumpkin patch right before Halloween, we went with his brother, sister-in-law, and their two kids. I snapped a couple family photos for them, then he asked me if I wanted one. After a few pictures he said “are you ready?” I thought he meant ready to leave the patch so I replied “sure”. All of a sudden he started to get down on one knee. Thinking it might be a prank I started to walk away, but when I turned around he had the ring in his hand and the biggest smile on his face.”
So we’re guessing it was a surprise?
“It was a complete surprise, and I had no idea it was coming. He pulled it off perfectly.”
Moving on to our favorite topic - dress shopping!
“My dress buying experience at Something Blue was nothing short of perfect. I went with my mom, sister, and now mother-in-law. I went in like any bride with an idea of what I wanted, but was blown away by all of the choices. It would have been easy to be overwhelmed, but my stylist was so helpful in hunting down gowns that not only fit my budget, but my style and taste. I ended up choosing one of her picks for the big day, it was not at all what I had envisioned, but she saw that it perfectly aligned with my vision and made me feel beautiful!”
How did Piper know her dress was "the one"?
“Looking at photos after my experience at the store, I could see it in my face just how happy and confident I was with that dress on my body. For me I couldn’t shake how beautiful that the dress made me feel, and I knew that it had to be what I wore that day.”
What was her fave part of the planning process?
“Seeing my vision start to come to life about a month away from the big day and realizing that it was just what I imagined for my wedding day.”
What about her LEAST favorite part?
“Getting started! I can be a procrastinator, and the whole process seemed overwhelming at first. Luckily I was able to break down the planning process into chunks and set goals for myself that helped me prioritize tasks and get them done!”
Looking back, what is Piper’s favorite wedding day memory?
“I can’t choose between my two favorites, so I have to say 1. Exchanging our private vows in front of our new home together, and realizing that each of our vows were extremely similar! 2. Dancing with my husband, surrounded by all of our friends and family and just feeling all of that love in the room was pretty incredible as well.”
Does Piper have any solid advice for brides-to-be who are currently planning their own big day?
“Don’t be hard on yourself to get every detail perfect. At the end of the day you won’t remember if the font matched on your Save the Dates, or if you got the matching cocktail napkins you wanted, but celebrating with the man you love and the people you love. Make a list of your non-negotiables and remember that everything else is a bonus!!”
Congratulations Piper & Adam!!
