She’s so sassy with a leg slit!

Introducing our gorgeous bride, Jenna!

For her fall wedding, Jenna visited our sister store, The One by Something Blue, and chose a timeless satin A-line gown from our private collection, Emilia Leray!

Jenna’s flowers were beautiful and timeless, all thanks to Schererville Florist!

We love the pop of blue in the bridesmaids bouquets!

Jenna married her hubby, Colin, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at River Pointe Country Club!

After the newlyweds said “I do”, it was time to celebrate with a beautiful reception!

How Jenna and Colin meet?

“We met in high school and reconnected in college. We began dating in May of 2020. We later found out that we had played soccer together when we were 7 years old!”

SO cute!!

How did Colin pop the question?

“We went to Disney in May of 2024. We were headed to Animal Kingdom when it began to rain. We waited out the rain under an awning; shortly after the rain stopped, Colin took me through the Majarah Jungle Trek to see the animals. Colin proposed to me near the lions!”

Was it a surprise or did she know it was coming?

“I knew it was coming. We had been talking about marriage for a while and I actually knew that we were getting engaged on the trip. I just didn't know how we were getting engaged, where or what day we would get engaged!”

The next step after the ring: find THE dress!

“I tried on two or three other dresses shortly after I came home just to get an idea of the style of dress that I wanted. I scheduled an appointment at "The One" in November of 2024. I had tried on 5 dresses that day and dress number 5 was "The One". I had such a great experience and I loved that I found my dress so easily.”

How did Jenna know her dress was "the one"?

“I knew it was "the one" when I walked out and could see the looks on everyone’s face. Everyone was smiling at me. The dress zipped so easily and I felt so confident in the dress. It felt like it was made for me.”

What was her favorite {& least favorite} part of planning her big day?

“My favorite part of the planning process was watching everything come together! It was so nice to see everything come together the day of our wedding, knowing how much time I had put into the details.

My least favorite part was how fast our engagement went! We were engaged for about 16 months and it truly flew by, especially the summer before our wedding. We were so busy with planning and all the various wedding events that it felt like it flew by in the blink of an eye.”

What about her favorite wedding day memory?

“My favorite moment of our wedding was our private vows. We finished our ceremony and took pictures with our family and bridal party. Then, Colin, my maid of honor, the photographer, and I went near the Willow Trees to take pictures. Colin and I read our vows to each other and it was a really nice moment to have, just the two of us.”

What is the best piece of advice Jenna can give brides-to-be who are currently planning their own big day?

“It truly goes by so quickly! Savor every minute of your engagement!

Don't stress about the little things! Everything will work itself out!”

Congratulations, Jenna & Colin!!
