Wow, she is gorgeous!
Introducing our beautiful bride, Emma!
For her summer wedding, Emma looked incredible in her crepe fitted gown from Something Blue’s Private Collection, Emilia Leray!
She paired it with the coolest pleated veil from Heirloom Bridal Company and looked absolutely perfect!

For her flowers, Emma worked with In Bloom out of Valparaiso!
We are WEAK for those anemones!

Before the craziness of the day began, Emma and her soon-to-be hubby, Gavin, shared a very special first look together!

Emma and Gavin were married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at White Oak Farms in Michigan City!
“My favorite moment of our wedding was definitely the ceremony (which I thought would be the most stressful part of the day). Our officiant was a family friend and that made the ceremony feel much more intimate. Standing up in front of all of our friends and family and marrying my best friend was such a surreal moment. But to be more specific the walk out from the ceremony as husband and wife was the specific moment that was my favorite.”

After they made things official, Emma, Gavin and all of their guests made their way to the barn for the big party!

How did the newlyweds first meet?
“Gavin and I went to school together and dated when we were in middle school, then ended up reconnecting later on a few years after we graduated.”
Tell us all about the proposal!
“Gavin proposed to me at the dunes beach (Beverly Shores). He had a blanket, flowers and candles all set up prior to us arriving and he walked me up to the spot and got down on one knee. And of course I said yes.”
Was Emma surprised or did she know it was coming?
“I definitely had a feeling that the proposal was coming but it still doesn’t prepare you for the nerves and excitement when it is actually happening. I was so beyond excited to marry the man of my dreams.”
How was Emma’s dress shopping experience?
“My dress buying experience was absolutely wonderful, thanks to you guys! Something Blue was the first and only dress store that I went to. I tried on around 10 dresses and fell absolutely in love with my dress. I think it was the third dress that I put on. I loved it the moment that I put it on, I knew it was the one but we tried on quite a few more to get a feel for other styles but nothing even compared to me. Circling back to my dress and putting it back on, I knew it was the one. My face lit up and I could imagine myself walking down the aisle in it. and that’s exactly what I did!”
What was Emma’s favorite and LEAST favorite part of planning her big day?
“My favorite part of the planning process was probably the little details. I really enjoyed decorating the venue and tables and seeing it all come together how I envisioned it.
My least favorite part of the planning process was definitely the weird middle stage of feeling like I had so much to do but also the wedding still being months out.”
Does Emma have any words of wisdom for brides who are currently planning their own wedding?
“My best advice to a bride to be planning her big day would definitely be to not take it too seriously. Have fun with it and enjoy the process because once it all comes together it is so worth it!”
Congratulations, Emma and Gavin!!
