I mean how gorgeous, right??

Jordan was married in December and wore a stunning, high-neck Allure Bridals gown, Bel Aire belt and Susan G. Allen veil {all purchased from SBB - obvs}!

She added her own special "Something Blue" by having a piece of her prom dress sewn into her gown. Jordan and her hubby Steve went to prom together!

She looked so beautiful as she got ready for her big day with her favorite girls, who were also looking pretty darn great if we do say so ourselves! {Edit: we may be biased. A couple of Jordan's bridesmaids were also Something Blue Brides!}

Those furs, am I right?? SO cute!

Her dress was amazing, but Jordan's florist {Town and Country Gardens} also knocked it out of the park with her truly gorgeous bouquets!

The flowers are insane!

Jordan and Steve wanted to share a private moment before their ceremony.

North x North Photography was there to capture their special first look, where the couple also read their vows to each other in private.

The ceremony and reception were both held at The Haight in Elgin.

This VENUE!! I die. It's amazing. Gorgeous. Stunning. Do I need to go on??

See what I mean?

The reception was decorated beautifully with greenery, lots of string lights and candles everywhere!

Caricatures are close to the couple's heart so their incorporated that into their wedding in the coolest way possible - by hiring a caricature artist for the reception!

Y'all. Isn't that so incredible?? Check out their wedding video to see it all in action!

I maybe {definitely} teared up watching that!

Let's get to know Jordan and Steve's love story...

How did they meet?

"We met in 5th grade. We had the same group of friends throughout junior high then started dating the summer before our junior year in high school."

Jordan was expecting a proposal sometime soon, but Steve still managed to surprise her!

"Steve proposed on my birthday in August 2016 at Navy Pier. I thought he might ask when we decided to go on the Ferris wheel, being that we had a first date there. We got on and off the Ferris wheel without a proposal and I put the idea out of my head. We then "stumbled" on a caricature artist and decided to get one done as we aim to get one done whenever we see them. Unbeknownst to me, Steve had called the caricature artist and planned the surprise. While we sat waiting to see the reveal, our photographer friend was hiding in the shadows taking pictures. He was able to capture the moments the artist turned the finished drawing around and Steve getting down on one knee. I immediately said yes and we then wandered around Navy Pier taking engagement photos. The surprises didn't end there. We then went on the Odyssey Dinner Cruise at Navy Pier and his family and my family were there to celebrate."

When it came time to plan for the wedding, Jordan was ready to cross "dress" off her list!

"I wanted to start shopping for my wedding dress immediately, but we agreed to take the first month after getting engaged to just live in the moment and not plan anything (which was a great decision)! When the time came, I started to "pin" dresses I liked and plan where I would visit. When it was time to start looking, I saw that Something Blue was having a trunk show in about 6 weeks. I had a feeling that my dress would be at Something Blue so I went to about 4 other boutiques to more so look for dresses and styles I liked/didn't like so I knew what I wanted when my appointment at Something Blue came. For my SBB appointment, I brought my mom, grandmother-in-law, and a close friend with me. We all browsed the racks and pinned what we liked. After trying on about 3 dresses, I asked the ladies helping me for "that one I really like" which was farther down in the pile to try on. We pulled it to the top of the list to try on next and I knew as I was stepping into it that it was the one. I walked out and stepped onto the pedestal, turned a few times in the mirror, and said without hesitation "this is it!" We then chose a belt and veil that matched perfectly. It was such a fun and memorable experience that I had always envisioned having."

How did Jordan know it was "the one"?

"I got really quiet when I put it on because I started to get emotional. When I walked out of the room, my mom's face confirmed what I already knew: this was it. Every inch of the dress was perfect. A facetime call to my sister (who wasn't able to make the appointment) followed along with some happy tears and saying "I love it" about 100 times."

We love it too! It was perfect! When it came to plan, what was Jordan's favorite part of the process?

"Oh man, I can't choose just one! My top three favorite things of the planning process were dress shopping, designing our invitations with our designer, and collecting/creating the decor for our venue once it was booked. Each one of these moments were great because it was where I really started to see different parts of our vision coming to life."

But planning wasn't all fun...

"My least favorite part was having to wait to do certain things. I wanted to get everything planned right away, but there are several things you can't complete until you get your final numbers. There's a slow couple months were you can't do much then a rush towards the end."

The big day had arrived. Jordan's favorite part of the whole wedding came before the ceremony began...

"My favorite moment of our wedding was our first look and when we shared our vows in private. It was a really intimate and personal moment we were able to have."

Currently planning your special day? Jordan has some great parting advice for you!

"Get creative to make your dream wedding come to life! Goodwill and spray paint does wonders. Shop around for the best bargains because there is always a way to make sure your vision fits within your budget. For example, instead of renting gold chargers for $4.50 each, I found them at the Dollar Store for $0.99! I had to put in the work and go to 5 different dollar stores to get them all, but it was worth it! Allow yourself enough time to relax the day of. There were so many moments where we were able to take a step back and take everything in which helped the day seem much longer."

Jordan and Steve, your wedding was absolutely gorgeous and we can't thank you enough for letting us share it! Wishing you two a wonderful future as Mr. and Mrs.! Check out more of their beautiful pictures in the gallery below!
