Jillian added a rose gold Sara Gabriel belt and a dainty flower crown as her accessories and could not have looked more perfect!

I meeeean do you see that back?! So gorg!

For all of her flowers, Jillian worked with {SBB preferred vendor} Blossom Shoppe and they knocked it out of the park! The bouquets are dripping with greenery and we are here for it!

You know we love our greenery!

Jillian and her new hubby Kyle decided to share a moment alone before their ceremony.

Kayla Knies Photography was there to capture their first look…

The happy couple held their summer wedding at Sandy Pines and it was so perfect!

If you’re looking for an outdoor venue, you have to check this place out!

For decor, Jillian had greenery added to the aisle chairs and kept the rest simple - SO beautiful!!

For the reception, guests were treated to dinner, drinks and dancing in Sandy Pine’s gorgeous pavilion!

For a personalized touch, the newlyweds incorporated their love for the Chicago Cubs by having jersey cookies as their cake topper. Butterfingers {Highland} always does such a great job!

Such a pretty reception!

Let’s get to know the newlyweds!

How did they meet?

“We met in middle school, seventh grade. We started dating in eighth grade so we had been dating for 9 years when we got married!”

WOW! We love that! How did Kyle pop the question?

“He took me to Navy Pier after a Cubs game to ask. He also surprised me with both our families arriving as he proposed!”

Was it a surprise?

“I knew it was going to be soon, but I was completely surprised that day!”

Let’s talk dresses! I asked Jillian to fill me in on her shopping experience…

“It was amazing, I saw a dress featured on Something Blue's Wedding Gown Wedding on Instagram and knew I wanted to try it on. I went in and showed the girl who helped me and she pulled it immediately. I picked others but we put the one I had chosen on first and none of the others compared. I walked out with the first dress I tried on, at the first store, on the first day I had ever wedding dress shopped! You guys know what you're doing!”

When the time came to plan the wedding, Jillian loved some parts of the process…

“I loved styling everything, I enjoy organizing and designing things.”

But she was not a fan of other tasks…

“The seating chart, I was so worried people would be upset if they were/weren't sitting with other specific people.”

The wedding day had finally arrived! What was Jillian’s fave part from her big day??

“We did a first look and I LOVED it. Best moment of the wedding by far.”

So many people who read this are currently planning their own big day. Any advice?

“Everyone says it but my advice is don't stress. Everything will fall into place, and if it doesn’t you move on and change it or let it go.

The day will go by so fast. Try to enjoy it and relax. You will likely never/not very often have your entire set of family and friends together celebrating. Enjoy it and take a few minutes to just sit and watch your favorite people have fun.”

Congrats, Jillian and Kyle!! Wishing you two nothing but happiness in your future together!
