We LOVED working with this sweet bride so so much!!

We are pleased to introduce you to Jorie!

Jorie married the love of her life on a gorgeous July day and we are SO into her classic, all-American bride vibes!

You know what else we’re into? The bridal party’s hilarious tank tops they wore while getting ready!

For her flowers, Jorie worked with Rosemary’s Heritage Flowers {Crown Point}!

Together they came up with bouquets perfect for a post-4th of July affair!

Jorie and her hubby Shawn were married at White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point!

They held the ceremony outside in the gazebo and had absolutely picture-perfect weather for the big day!

After the ceremony, guests headed into the country club for the party!

They kept with the red, white and blue theme with all of their decor and treated guests to fun surprises like a candy table courtesy of Albanese and even a hot dog cart for after hours!

During the reception, Jorie and her dad shared their first dance - but it wasn’t your typical father daughter dance.

Nope, they got DOWN!

Jorie says it was the best moment of the whole day for her:

“My favorite moment of my wedding, besides marrying the love of my life, was sharing the Father/Daughter dance with my Dad, Jim. We had taken professional dance lessons for 4 months leading up to the wedding and it was one of the most special moments of my life.”

Such a great memory for the both of them! Those lessons clearly paid off!

Now that we have seen their wedding, lets learn more about the newlyweds!

How did they meet?

“Shawn and I met at my nephew’s second birthday party. He worked together with my oldest brother and was invited as a guest.”

How did he pop the question?

“Shawn proposed to me at a joint birthday party we were having in front of all of our family and friends. Essentially, I planned my own birthday/engagement party. Ha! It was a complete surprise.”

Let’s talk wedding dresses! How was Jorie’s dress shopping experience?

“I had visited some bridal shops in Illinois and Northwest Indiana and I couldn’t find anything I was absolutely in love with. It wasn’t until I went to Something Blue that I had found a few dresses I loved.”

How did she know her dress was "the one"?

“I knew I had found “the one” as soon as I put it on and saw the looks on the faces of my friends I brought with. The dress mirrored my personality and I knew it was mine.”

When it came to wedding planning, what was Jorie’s fave part of the process?

“Being able to create a day that was unique to Shawn and me. I wanted to incorporate as much of our personalities into the day as possible and really make it our own.”

Anything she didn’t enjoy?

“My least favorite part of the process was the amount of time cumulatively it took to plan one single day. I didn’t know what to do with my spare time when it was all over!”

Now that the vows have been read and the cake has been cut, is there anything Jorie took away from the whole experience?

“My biggest take away would be to have fun with it! The day will go by so fast and all of the small things you worried about leading up to the day won’t matter when it’s all over.”

Any final words of wisdom for other brides who are trying to plan their own big day?

“The best piece of advice I can give brides would be to remember this special day is one of many to come in the future with your husband and loved ones. Soak in everything you can the day of and remember however it turns out will be amazing so no need to stress the small stuff.”

Congrats, Jorie and Shawn!! Thank you SO much for letting us show off your gorgeous wedding!!
